McGowan & Szaganski Reach Dublin Decider

MICK MCGOWAN and Radek Szaganski will contest the Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay final next month, while Jack Faragher and Liam Gallagher have won spots in the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship from the Irish qualifier.

The Tramore Autumn Darts Festival, held at O'Shea's Hotel in Tramore, Co Waterford, saw the early rounds of the annual Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay held.

Reigning champion McGowan is looking to become the first player to retain the title since its inception in 2008 in memory of the late former PDC professional from Kildare.

McGowan overcame Paul Madden, Ron Seddon and William O'Connor - his Betway World Cup of Darts team-mate - in the latter stages as he continued his title defence.

Szaganski, meanwhile, previously reached the final in 2014 when he lost to Daryl Gurney, and he overcame Tom O'Connor and brothers Paddy and Michael Meaney as he reached the decider.

The final will be held on Saturday October 8 (7.45pm) ahead of the Unibet World Grand Prix final at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.

Tickets for the Unibet World Grand Prix are still available and can be purchased via this link .

The finalists of the Irish Youth Matchplay Championship, Jack Faragher and Liam Gallagher, both now qualify to compete next month in the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship, with the Last 64 being held on Sunday October 16 in Wigan.

Faragher went on to win the final 5-2 against Gallagher to claim the domestic title.
