2012 Championship League Darts Info

THE field for the 2012 Championship League Darts will be confirmed following the Players Championships in Barnsley on September 15 & 16.

The internet-streamed event will feature eight eight-player groups competing at Crondon Park GC in Essex, with over £200,000 prize money on offer.

Invitations to compete in the tournament - which was won in 2011 by Phil Taylor, who defeated Paul Nicholson in the final - are based on ranking positions following the Barnsley ProTour weekend.

The top eight players will contest Group One, with the next three players from the PDC Order of Merit entering for each of the subsequent seven groups.

The eight Group Winners will then proceed to compete in the Winners Group on Thursday November 1.

The Championship League Darts is streamed through www.LIVEPDC.TV as well as via a series of bookmakers' websites worldwide, with two boards in action simultaneously during each day's play.

The Winners Group features increased prize money as well as additional prize money for the eventual champion, runner-up and semi-finalists.
