Finnan To Miss UK Open

CONNIE FINNAN has withdrawn from the Speedy Services UK Open.

The reigning Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay champion had qualified to make his UK Open debut in Bolton this year, where he was drawn with Speedy Qualifier Andy Murray in the preliminary round.

However, after Finnan's withdrawal for personal reasons, Murray now receives a bye through to the first round proper, where he will play either Steve Service or Damien Sherwood.

Following Finnan's withdrawal, all other games on Board Four on the opening night will now be played the equivalent of one game earlier from 7pm onwards, in the following order:
