Muramatsu's Japanese Delight

HARUKI MURAMATSU has won through to compete in his second Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.

The 34-year-old from Iwate won the PDJ Japanese Qualifier for the World Championship on Saturday, to earn a return to Alexandra Palace two years after previously competing.

Having previously won through to the last eight, he picked up victories when the final stages were held on Saturday October 1.

Muramatsu overcame Shingo Enomata 5-2 in the quarter-finals before then seeing off last year's champion, Morihiro Hashimoto, in the semi-finals.

He then defeated Syo Katsumi 6-5, finishing 42 in the deciding leg with Katsumi waiting on 92.

Muramatsu previously played in the 2010 World Championship, defeating Krzysztof Kciuk in the preliminary round before losing to Ronnie Baxter.
