PHIL HAZEL and Kyle Anderson shared the honours from the first DartPlayers Australia weekend in Western Australia.
Kiwi Hazel edged out Wayne Clegg 6-5 in the final of Saturday's Mindarie Car Hire Open in Joondalup, northern Perth, to claim the $1,000 title.
His victories in the latter stages included defeats of John Kiley, Justin Miles and Kyle Anderson - who would gain revenge on his way to Sunday's title.
Bill Aitken was defeated by Clegg in the semi-finals, while 2010 AGP Order of Merit winner Rob Modra reached the last eight before losing to Anderson.
Anderson, though, made amends in Sunday's event, defeating current Order of Merit leader Reed 6-1 in the final.
He had overcome expat Englishman David Platt - a former PDC professional - 6-5 in the semi-finals, and was also taken to a deciding leg by Hazel in the last eight.
Neil Hembrow was defeated 6-5 by Reed in the other semi-final, and also completed a weekend of quarter-final defeats for Modra with a 6-3 victory in the last eight.
