THE 2011 World Matchplay is to be shown live in Australia on Fox Sports next month.
The tournament, held from July 26-24 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, sees 32 stars battling for £400,000 in prize money and the prestigious title, which has been won 11 times by Phil Taylor.
Australian ace Simon Whitlock reached last year's World Matchplay semi-finals and will compete in this year's event alongside former DPA number one Paul Nicholson, who was previously a Melbourne resident.
The pair will star alongside their rivals in the World Matchplay in Fox Sports' live telecast of the tournament, with every session screened live in Australia at the following times:
