A QUALIFIER will be held for PDPA members to win a place in the 2007 World Darts Trophy will be held on Friday 20 July at the Winter Gardens.
Eight places in the Preliminary Round of the World Darts Trophy will be up for grabs from the tournament, which mirrors the play-off for places in the Topic IDL earlier this year.
The top 12 players in the PDC Order of Merit following the Las Vegas Desert Classic VI qualify by right for Round One of the 32-man main event, and are joined there by the top 12 BDO/WDF players in the WDT Merit Table.
A further eight players will come from the 32-man Preliminary Round on Friday 31 August.
The 16 PDC representatives in this Preliminary Round will be:
Players 13-16 in PDC Order of Merit following Las Vegas Desert Classic VI
Four Wildcards (Mervyn King, Jelle Klaasen, Vincent van der Voort, Michael van Gerwen)
Eight PDPA Qualifiers
The 16 BDO/WDF players will be the next 16 in the WDT Merit Table.
The PDPA Qualifier will be held in the Olympia Room at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool at 8pm on Friday 20 July. The format will be the best of nine legs throughout.
Entry will cost £25 and entries will close on Thursday 12 July at 4pm. The highest-ranked 16 players in the PDC Order of Merit who enter will be seeded.
