PHIL TAYLOR produced a record-breaking display to whitewash Ronnie Baxter 6-0 and set up a final against Martin Adams at the Bavaria World Darts Trophy.
Taylor produced yet another stunning display in the Utrecht semi-finals, following up his earlier wins over Brian Sorensen, John Walton and Colin Lloyd with a majestic performance.
He averaged almost 107 and dropped just five legs in the contest.
Taylor set his stall out in winning the opening set without reply thanks to finishes of 147 and 167, and took the second 3-1.
He added a 126 checkout in the third set, which he also took 3-0 and opened up a 4-0 gap by taking the fourth 3-1.
Baxter took the fifth set to a deciding leg, but it was Taylor who extended his advantage before wrapping up a remarkable win by taking the sixth set 3-1.
Taylor will meet Martin Adams in Sunday night's final, following his 6-4 win over Michael van Gerwen.
Adams took a 2-0 lead early on before van Gerwen showed the form which helped him knock out Raymond van Barneveld, Simon Whitlock and Mervyn King by hitting back to lead 3-2.
Adams took the sixth and seventh sets to regain the lead, and pulled away after van Gerwen levelled in the eighth set.
Although Adams took the win, the 17-year-old went down fighting, earning himself a share of the week's high checkout prize with a 170 finish and also missing double 12 for a nine-dart leg.
Ron Meulenkamp won the final of the Youth event with a 6-1 defeat of Sven van Dun.
Van Dun took the opening leg with a 140 finish, but Meulenkamp won six in a row to take the title.
