William Hill's Nine-Dart Charity Bonus

CHARITY BOOST FOR NINE-DART FINISH AT WILLIAM HILL WORLD DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP

WILLIAM HILL have announced that they will make a charity donation of £9,000 to the Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust, the official charity partner of the PDC, for every nine-dart finish landed at the 2015/2016 William Hill World Darts Championship.

The tournament runs from December 17–January 3 at Alexandra Palace in London – and pundits are already predicting a high volume of nine-dart finishes at the event.

Sky Sports expert Rod Harrington said: "I think there'll be at least two or three nine-darters – if not more! Years ago a televised nine-darter was a rarity. They're now becoming more common – but they're still very special!"

The Donna Louise Children's Hospice is based in Stoke and provides care and support services for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Over £80,000 has been raised so far in 2015 through the Donna Louise Children's Hospice's partnership with the PDC, which has included the Darts For Donna Louise Exhibition at Stoke's Kings Hall and a special "Evening With..." dinner recently featuring Phil Taylor, Barry Hearn and David Seaman.

With five nine-dart finishes having been hit in the past three years at the William Hill World Darts Championship, expectations are high that at least one perfect leg will be landed at Alexandra Palace to boost the charity's funds further.

Melanie Williams, Head of High Value Partnerships at the charity said: "On behalf of us all at the Donna Louise Children's Hospice, I'd like to say a big thank you to William Hill for very kindly supporting the charity in this way.

"The William Hill World Darts Championship is a perfect way to near the end of our first year of support from the PDC and we're looking forward to watching all the action and hopefully seeing lots of nine-darters!

"Everyone at the Donna Louise Children's Hospice will be cheering on the players over the next couple of weeks!"
