THE Professional Darts Corporation sends its condolences to the family of Braulio Roncero, who has passed away.
Spanish-born Roncero - who was based in the Netherlands - became the first Dutch representative at the PDC World Championship in 2000, losing in a deciding fifth set to Dennis Priestley at the Circus Tavern.
He was also a regular competitor in PDC events on the continent from 2002-2010, and played in the Lakeside Championship and World Masters.
Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld led the social media tributes to Roncero, with the pair having played together for the Dutch national team as runners-up in the Europe Cup pairs event in 1996.
