Fishing Success For Hearn Duo & Webster

Chairman's Team (PDC)

PDC CHAIRMAN Barry Hearn and darts star Darren Webster were amongst the winning team at an annual celebrity charity fishing event which raised money for Parkinson's UK.

The PDC Invitational Fishing Championship at Gold Valley Lakes in Aldershot saw stars from the sporting world take to the peg for a sixth successive year.

Darts stars involved included World Champion Rob Cross, 2018 UK Open and World Matchplay winner Gary Anderson and Shanghai Darts Masters champion Michael Smith.

Former Lakeside Champions Scott Waites and Scott Mitchell were also in action, as well as James Wade, Ian White, Chris Quantock and Chris Mason.

EastEnders actor Jake Wood, boxer Dillian White, rugby league star Jamie Jones-Buchanan and World Snooker Champion Mark Williams were amongst the other personalities taking part.

However, it was PDC Chairman Hearn's four-angler team - which also included son & PDC Director Eddie, darts ace Webster and fishing star Steve Collett who took glory.

Collett also bagged the largest individual haul on the day of 28kg to claim the trophy from snooker ace Williams.

The day also featured filming for the next edition of The Darts Show, which will be aired on Sky Sports.
