NATHAN ASPINALL claimed a comfortable victory over fellow William Hill World Championship debutant Geert Nentjes at Alexandra Palace.
Aspinall, who won a Players Championship event in September, took each of the first two sets 3-1.
Nentjes led 2-1 in the third set but went on to miss four darts to win it, allowing Aspinall to finish the job with a 13-darter.
