Chris Dobey reckons he has room in his man cave to do a special Alan Shearer celebration if he wins his Unibet Home Tour group tonight.
Two-time TV semi-finalist Dobey will take on Ron Meulenkamp, Kai Fan Leung and Ciaran Teeha in tonight’s home-staged tournament.
Newcastle fan Dobey, 29, believes he is ready for the classic one-arm raised Shearer celebration if he can win the group.
“My board is in my out-house, it’s joined onto the side of the house. I guess you could call it my man cave," Dobey told Oche! magazine.
“I’ve got a heater in it, obviously my own fridge. I don’t drink so it’s just full of cans of pop.
“There’s plenty of room for a full Alan Shearer celebration, why not!
“I’m looking forward to the Home Tour. Obviously I’m going to keep my arm in over the next day or so just to make sure I’m prepared right and I can give it a good crack. I enjoyed doing the testing for it, it was a good laugh.
“The three lads in my group are all fantastic players. Ciaran did great in the World Championships, I played and beat Ron at the Ally Pally and Kai he’s been averaging fantastic on the Pro Tour already at the start of his tour card.
“I’m going to have to play well.
“I’m pretty confident I’ve been playing good the last few weeks. I have an advantage that it’s on my board but I guess it’s the same for the other lads as well.”
The opening game of the night will see Dobey take on Irish youngster Teehan, before Dutchman Meulenkamp and Hong Kong's Leung.
All four competitors will play each other once in matches played over the best of nine legs, with a winner crowned at the end of the night.
Darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings, which will also include live score graphics on screen.
