Raymond van Barneveld 3-0 Mervyn King
Adrian Lewis 3-1 Roland Scholten
JAMES WADE 3-1 ALEX ROY
(3-2, 3-0, 2-3, 3-2)
JAMES WADE overcame a bout of stomach pains to book his place in the quarter-finals of the SkyBet World Grand Prix with a 3-1 defeat of Alex Roy.
The World Matchplay champion struggled throughout but managed to show glimpses of the form which has taken him up to third in the PDC Order of Merit.
He took the first two sets without reply before Roy edged the third to stay in the contest, but it was brief respite as Wade took the fourth set to move into the last eight.
"It did affect me and I couldn't keep my concentration," admitted Wade. "I wanted to get it over in three sets to be honest and get off stage.
"I was well below par but I'll take the win. Alex took out some good shots and did well to take a set, but I'm pleased to be through and I'll make sure I recover for the next round."
Roy took the game's first leg as Wade made a nervy start, but the Aldershot thrower took the next two before being pegged back to take the set into a decider.
Wade landed a fine 17-darter to move 1-0 up and then produced some superb darts in taking the second set without reply - including a 112 finish and then a 100 checkout of 20 and two double tops.
Roy took the first two legs of the third set before Wade hit back to level, only for a missed double four for victory to allow the qualifier to take out double two and pull back a set.
A fine leg from Wade, including a 120 start and a 180, put him ahead in the fourth set before Roy struck back well to lead 2-1.
Wade won leg four to again move to within touching distance of the win and landed double top to progress.

COLIN LLOYD 3-0 ALAN TABERN
(3-0, 3-0, 3-2)
COLIN LLOYD swept past Alan Tabern into the quarter-finals of the SkyBet World Grand Prix with a straight sets victory.
The 2004 World Grand Prix champion set up a last eight date with James Wade on Friday with a professional performance.
He averaged 89.52 and showed fine form starting on double top as well as with his finishing to progress.
A sensational first leg included a 171 score and a 152 checkout to settle any nerves Lloyd carried onto stage.
He then took the next two legs on double eight to win the first set without reply, and took advantage of three misses from Tabern to lead in the second.
A 68 finish on double four put Lloyd 2-0 up and he then wrapped up another set with a maximum and then a 106 checkout for a 15-darter.
Tabern finally got on the scoreboard with a 110 checkout to open set three, but paid for a missed double five in the second leg as Lloyd levelled.
Lloyd then took out double 12 to move to within a leg of the game before Tabern landed a 144 finish to stay in the contest.
But Lloyd wasted little more time in wrapping up the win on double 12 - meaning he moves into the last eight having not dropped a set in his wins over Dennis Priestley and Tabern.
"I've had two tough games and a 3-0 scoreline doesn't reflect well on Alan," said Lloyd. "He's a great player but I got the result and knew what I had to do.
"It was nice to get up there and perform, have a bit of aggression in my game and get stuck in.
"I've got James next and every game is tough. He has played exceptionally well and produced some fantastic in the past 18 months. I'm looking forward to it."

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD 3-0 MERVYN KING
(3-0, 3-1, 3-1)
RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD powered past Mervyn King in straight sets to book his quarter-final berth at the SkyBet World Grand Prix.
The World Champion dropped just two legs in a strong performance to signal his intentions to add the World Grand Prix to his roll of honour.
He defied a maximum from King to win the game's opening leg, and punished misses from the qualifier to double his cushion.
A 16-darter gave him the first set without reply, and three ton-plus scores helped him to take the second set's opener.
A missed bullseye gave King a rare shot at the double in the next, and he took out 56 to finally get off the mark.
However, he was unable to take the next two legs as van Barneveld wrapped up the second set.
King finished 110 on double 18 to take the second leg of set three and square matters, but a poor leg allowed van Barneveld to move to within touching distance of the victory.
King gave himself a chance to stay in the game, but further misses let van Barneveld off the hook, and he landed double top for the win.
"Mervyn missed a few shots and let me in," said van Barneveld. "He had an off day but I'm very pleased to make the quarter-finals.
"I went out in the second round last year and I've not won this event yet so maybe this will be my year."

ADRIAN LEWIS 3-1 ROLAND SCHOLTEN
(1-3, 3-1, 3-0, 3-1)
ADRIAN LEWIS turned on the style to end Roland Scholten's hopes in the SkyBet World Grand Prix with a 3-1 win.
The youngster found himself a set down to the 2001 runner-up following an unsteady start, but won nine of the next 11 legs to progress to the quarter-finals.
Lewis included five 180s and three ton-plus finishes in seeing off the Dutchman, including a show-stopping 125 of bull, 25 and bull.
"It was a good atmosphere and I enjoyed the game but it took me about a set to get into it," admitted Lewis.
"Neither of us started well but Roland is probably the best scorer in the game so I knew I had to lift myself.
"I've got Raymond van Barneveld next and I'll have to play better against him. To be the best you have to beat the best and I'll be ready."
Lewis began poorly, needing 12 darts to start and a maximum was too late as Scholten took out 70 in two darts and then double his lead on double eight.
Lewis eventually took leg three, but Scholten landed double six to win the opening set.
The 22-year-old kicked off set two with a 128 finish on the bullseye, and added a maximum and a 14-darter in taking the set 3-1 to level the match.
Legs of 14, 15 and 18 darts, including two more 180s, saw Lewis sweep to the third set against little resistance before Scholten hit back to lead in the fourth.
A 116 finish for a 12-darter saw Lewis level the set before he produced that superb 125 to move 2-1, and a 67 finish pushed him into the quarter-finals.
