TICKETS for the 2008 SkyBet World Grand Prix will go on sale on Monday April 28, with a week of priority sales for DartsTV subscribers.
The World Grand Prix will be staged from October 6-12 at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin, with James Wade returning to Ireland to defend his title in the unique double-start tournament.
The 2008 event will feature the top 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit, alongside the top 12 players from the Players Championship Order of Merit and top four players from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland on the Players Championship Order of Merit, competing for a record £250,000 in prize money.
"The SkyBet World Grand Prix is one of the most exciting and unpredictable tournaments in the sport, and the double-start format always adds to the drama," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
"This event has grown in stature throughout every year at the Citywest Hotel and we saw record crowds during the 2007 World Grand Prix.
"The evolution of the qualification for the tournament rewards players for their form throughout the year in Players Championship events, and that should ensure we have the best field of players ever for this event come October."
Tickets will go on sale at 9.30am on Monday April 28 exclusively for annual subscribers to DartsTV on the PDC's official website, www.planetdarts.tv.
DartsTV subscribers will be limited to ten tickets per session in the week of pre-sale. Please be aware that new subscribers must wait until after midday on the day after joining the service to be able to purchase tickets.
Remaining tickets will then go on general sale at 9.30am on Tuesday May 6.
How To Purchase
Tickets can be purchased via the Citywest Hotel Box Office on 00 353 (0)14010 500 or via darts08@citywesthotel.com.
