PHIL TAYLOR claimed back-to-back PDC Pro Tour wins with victory in Sunday's Players Championship at the NH Conference Centre in Koningshof.
Taylor had defeated James Wade to take the title on Saturday, and saw off Terry Jenkins in the final 24 hours later with a 3-0 victory.
He dropped just three sets in a superb day's play, being taken to a decider by Holland's Co Stompe in the last 16 and winning 3-1 against Robert Thornton in the semis.
Taylor had claimed straight sets wins over leading Austrian Mensur Suljovic, Wayne Atwood, Kevin McDine and Ronnie Baxter before seeing off Jenkins in the decider.
He kicked off the final with a 180 and immediately broke the throw with a 14-darter, before taking advantage of four missed doubles to win the second leg and the opening set without reply.
Legs of 13 and 14 darts saw him take set two at ease before a 77 finish put Jenkins ahead in the third.
However, a third-dart double four finish saw Taylor level, despite a maximum from Jenkins, before Taylor landed scores of 177, 121 and 130 before sealing the victory on double top in 12 darts.
The win was Taylor's 12th PDC Pro Tour win this year alone, and saw him claim the maximum £10,000 prize money over the weekend in Eindhoven.
Jenkins' run saw him reach his first PDC Pro Tour final since June 2006 at the Las Vegas Players Championship.
The world number five overcame Wayne Jones in the semis and also enjoyed 3-1 wins over Kevin Painter and Germany's Bernd Roith during the event.
Wade was unable to repeat his success after reaching Saturday's final, after going down 3-1 to Jones in the quarters, with Mervyn King a 3-0 loser to Thornton at the same stage.

Semi-Finals
Terry Jenkins overcame Wayne Jones 3-1 to reach the final. Jones edged the third set, but Jenkins was too strong in the decider of set four to move into the final.
Phil Taylor came from a set down to defeat Robert Thornton and remain on course for back-to-back titles with a 3-1 victory. Thornton kicked off the match in fine fashion, landing a 180 on his way to the first leg. Taylor replied in 11 darts but four missed doubles in the decider allowed the Scot his chance to take the lead on double 12. A 99 finish put Thornton ahead in set two before Taylor took the next two to square the game, and the third set followed the same pattern as Taylor moved 2-1 up. Taylor kicked off the fourth with a 177 score, and took out double 16 to lead, before four misses let Thornton in to level. However, the pair traded 180s in the deciding leg of the set before Taylor sealed the win on double eight.
