Mervyn King v Ronnie Baxter
Last weekend, Mervyn won both PDC ProTour events and on both days beat Ronnie Baxter, so he is on fine form.
Even in the legs he doesn't play well in he seems to grind them out, and he is a good professional.
Mervyn does everything right, he really does practice right, keeps himself to himself and focuses well.
He's up against another grinder, in Ronnie Baxter, and I think the difference between these two will be the high scoring, and I think Mervyn King will tip this.
Match Odds
Mervyn King 4/9, Draw 9/2, Ronnie Baxter 10/3
Adrian Lewis v Terry Jenkins
If the Adrian Lewis who turned up in Bournemouth turns up in Belfast we're in for a brilliant game.
Adrian got out of the gate quickly against Raymond van Barneveld, and he really did set the crowd alight for the rest of the evening.
He is an exceptional player but he doesn't do it week-in, week-out yet. Perhaps we will see a brilliant Adrian Lewis every week.
Lewis will hit a lot of 180s and I expect him to beat Jenkins, who looks a little tired and is not doing it leg-on-leg.
At 5/6 Lewis with Sky Bet, that is possibly the bet of the evening.
Match Odds
Adrian Lewis 5/6, Draw 7/2, Terry Jenkins 2/1
Simon Whitlock v Raymond van Barneveld
Although Barney couldn't do a lot about the firepower of Lewis last week, he really didn't get into him and put him under pressure.
Raymond is messing about with his darts too much and he's not focused enough for me. He's going on stage and if it doesn't go right in the first two or three legs Raymond seems to let that get to him for the rest of the game.
Simon is playing well. I saw him at the weekend [when he reached the final of a UK Open Qualifier in Swindon] and he's hitting a lot of 180s and some great scoring and great finishing.
I can see Simon getting a draw or even nicking a win out of this one.
There's a lot of value in Whitlock at 5/4, but I'm going to go for a draw.
Match Odds
Simon Whitlock 5/4, Draw 7/2, Raymond van Barneveld 5/4
Phil Taylor v James Wade
This is possibly the game of the evening.
Last week James played extremely well but is having the odd bad game that's letting him down. He's scoring well but missed too many doubles and that's what cost him in the World Championship.
Phil is not firing on all cylinders at the moment. He went 4-0 down to Ronnie Baxter last week and if James can get out of the gate here then he can end up with a result.
I can see this as a draw or Phil Taylor winning it, but over 12.5 legs would be good odds for me, because I can see James Wade getting more than five legs.
Match Odds
Phil Taylor 1/3, Draw 9/2, James Wade 9/2
Rod's Special Tips
Mervyn King to be winning at the break and end of match - 11/10
Adrian Lewis to reach three legs first - 8/15
Over 12.5 legs in the Phil Taylor v James Wade game - 4/5
