Paddy Power launches 'The BIGGER 180' campaign

Paddy Power has pledged a £180,000 bonus for every nine-darter at the 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship in a new campaign to support Prostate Cancer UK.

Paddy Power will again donate £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 at this year’s tournament, plus a massive £180,000 bonus for every nine-darter - shared between the charity, the player, and a lucky fan in the Ally Pally crowd.

This year’s donation is expected to exceed the £1million raised by Paddy Power in 2023/24, and funds will support Prostate Cancer UK’s TRANSFORM trial, a groundbreaking research project that will find the best way to diagnose prostate cancer early and pave the way for a national screening programme.

In the UK, one man dies from prostate cancer every 45 minutes. But finding it early, when it's easier to treat, can save lives.

Following record TV viewing figures last year, Sky Sports has joined as a new partner of The BIGGER 180, using their huge reach to help the cause.

The £180,000 bonus will be split equally between Prostate Cancer UK, the player who throws the perfect leg, and one lucky fan in the iconic Ally Pally crowd.
Why it matters when it comes to transforming prospects:
●    1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. And your risk is even higher if you're over 50, if you're Black or if you have a family history of the disease.
●    Most men don't have symptoms in the early stages and there's currently no screening programme inviting men for regular tests. That's why too many men are dying from prostate cancer - one every 45 minutes.
●    But finding it early, when it's easier to treat, is critical to saving lives.

Last year, The Big 180 campaign raised £1 million to support Prostate Cancer UK's lifesaving risk awareness work after 914 180s were hit, with Paddy Power rounding up the final donation to the seven-figure sum.

This year, the campaign aims to smash that total, with funds supporting Prostate Cancer UK’s groundbreaking TRANSFORM trial. As the most ambitious prostate cancer screening trial ever, TRANSFORM will find the best way to diagnose the disease early - and pave the way for a national screening programme that could save thousands of lives.
