Phil Taylor v Terry Jenkins
Terry Jenkins has got a major task on his hands; Phil won both events in Wigan at the weekend and played brilliantly.
I've known Phil for 22 years and I believe he is getting better. In the final against Jamie Caven on Sunday, he beat him 6-0 with a 122 average, which is unbelievable.
Terry has been out of sorts for a while and is not consistent enough leg on leg, and this is where Taylor will make him pay for it.
I can see Taylor running away an easy winner, perhaps under 12.5 legs in this match - Terry is a draw specialist and has taken a lot of draws from Phil but I can't see his form being good enough.
Match Odds
Phil Taylor 1/10, Draw 8/1, Terry Jenkins 10/1
Raymond van Barneveld v Mervyn King
This is the game of the night for me.
Mervyn King has been playing brilliant and has taken every chance he has been given, but he's coming up against a guy who I believe is now back on form.
We've been waiting for Barney to turn up and finally he did in Manchester, he played absolutely brilliantly with a 107 average, and I think we've seen the start of Barneveld coming back.
I believe that's going to give him the confidence to go on and do really well in this Premier League now.
I see this match as a Raymond van Barneveld win, and at 13/8 he is the value bet of the night.
King may grab a draw but I fancy Barneveld this week and think he will nick this and it's going to be over 12.5 legs.
Match Odds
Raymond van Barneveld 13/8, Draw 10/3, Mervyn King Evens
Ronnie Baxter v Adrian Lewis
Ronnie Baxter is a good professional and is playing well, and he relishes the big crowds in the Premier League. He has been taking out shots and has upped his scoring.
Adrian Lewis did not turn up last week but he did against Barney in Bournemouth and I think Adrian Lewis is going to turn up this week and take Baxter.
Baxter is another draw specialist, but this one is a Lewis win for me at 8/11.
Match Odds
Ronnie Baxter 2/1, Draw 4/1, Adrian Lewis 8/11
Simon Whitlock v James Wade
James is at the bottom of the league and he has really got to start doing something. He cannot get left behind any longer and I think he's going to get his first win this week.
Simon's averages for the last two weeks have not been that great and I think James is going to turn up, like Barney did last week, and get the win at Evens.
Match Odds
Simon Whitlock 13/8, Draw 10/3, James Wade Evens
Rod's Specials
Special 1
Raymond van Barneveld to win at 13/8
James Wade to win at Evens
This pays 5/1 and I think that's unbelievable value
Special 2
Raymond van Barneveld to reach three legs first
Adrian Lewis to reach three legs first
This pays about 9/4
