Final Rileys Qualifiers Confirmed

THE final weekend of Rileys Amateur Qualifiers for the Coral UK Open saw the last nine players win spots in next weekend's Televised Finals at the Butlins Minehead Resort.

The past five weeks have seen a series of 32 knockouts staged in Rileys Sports Bars across the UK for players to win spots alongside the world's leading professionals in the Coral UK Open.

The eight qualifiers on Saturday included Hampshire's Paul Hogan, who knocked out John Part on his way to the last 32 of the 2014 UK Open, win through the Rileys Southampton knockout.

Nigel Daniels won through the Rileys Nottingham Qualifier as he secured a spot in the UK Open for a third successive year, while former PDC player Stephen Hardy won through the Rileys Colchester event.

Welshman Mark Layton qualified for a third successive year as he came through the Rileys Chester Qualifier, while former PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship qualifier Arron Fairweather was the Rileys Ipswich qualifier.

Derek Brand came through the Rileys Aberdeen knockout, Gary O'Donnell was the Rileys Chorlton Qualifier and Adam Huckvale was the winner at Rileys Worcester.

Sunday's final event in Reading saw Plymouth's Simon Stevenson win his place in the Televised Finals for a second successive year, winning four matches to reach the last 32 before losing out to Jamie Lewis.
