THE entries have been confirmed for the year's opening two Players Championship events, to be held in Barnsley on March 14-15.
The tournaments are the first Players Championships to be played since the increase in prize money to £60,000 per event, with PDC Tour Card Holders joined by PDPA Associate Members to take the field to 128 players per day.
The field includes world number one Michael van Gerwen, who has already won a European Tour event and three Coral UK Open Qualifiers on the PDC ProTour this year, alongside The Unibet Masters.
World Champion Gary Anderson is also amongst the field, while new PDC Tour Card Holders including Alan Norris, James Wilson, Spain's Cristo Reyes and Dutch duo Jeffrey De Zwaan and Mike Zuydwijk will make their first Players Championship appearances.
Play in each event will begin at 12pm, with the draw made at 11am following the close of registration, with 32 players seeded based on the One-Year ProTour Order of Merit.
