AFTER winning back-to-back games in the Unibet Premier League, Rob Cross believes that he is returning to his World Championship-winning form.
The Hastings ace had suffered three successive defeats to open his debut Premier League season, finding himself in the battle at the bottom of the table to avoid elimination.
Whilst victories over Peter Wright and Raymond van Barneveld have not yet removed the threat of elimination, Cross believes that his most clinical form is slowly returning.
The 27-year-old admitted recently that the January break - where he did not play for almost four weeks after his World Championship win - had left him rusty, but Cross believes he is playing his way back to his best.
"Every week I'll keep getting better and I feel like me again," said Cross, who finished seven doubles from ten attempts and took out 128 against Van Barneveld in Berlin.
"I'm getting more clinical and though I wouldn't say I'm 100 percent I'm trying to stay focused.
"My timing is coming back, and that's what it's all about in darts. Raymond didn't play his best and he wasn't himself, but the doubles went well for me and I'm happy with that.
"I'm feeling more comfortable and I'm getting there."
Cross' win came as he competed in front of a record 12,000 fans at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, and he saluted the German crowd after completing the victory.
"It was absolutely phenomenal," he added. "It's great to be a part of something like this, and I'm happy to get the win."
