THE Professional Darts Corporation sends its best wishes to American star Larry Butler, who is recovering in hospital following a heart attack.
The 60-year-old had competed last weekend alongside Darin Young for the United States of America in the Betway World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt.
He was taken ill following his return to Ohio, and will undergo further surgery on Thursday.
The 1994 World Matchplay champion in the tournament's inaugural event, Butler has competed in six World Championships and also on six occasions at the World Cup of Darts.
One of north America's greatest-ever players, Butler was also the runner-up in the 2015 World Masters and has competed in the Las Vegas Desert Classic, Grand Slam of Darts and UK Open.
USA team-mate Young led the well-wishers on social media after news of Butler's condition was revealed, alongside the likes of Canada's Dawson Murschell and world number one Michael van Gerwen.
