Competing nations confirmed for 2025 BetVictor World Cup of Darts

BetVictor World Cup of Darts general view

The nations competing in the 2025 BetVictor World Cup of Darts have been confirmed, with India set to make its return to the annual global festival of darts in June.

The 2025 BetVictor World Cup of Darts will be staged at Frankfurt's Eissporthalle from June 12-15, as 40 teams compete for the coveted title and a £450,000 prize fund.

Reigning champions England head up the 34 nations confirmed to be competing, while a further six nations will be confirmed following qualifying events.

India will make its fourth World Cup of Darts appearance, having last featured at the 2023 event, with Nitin Kumar - a PDC Asian Tour event winner and World Championship qualifier last year - spearheading the growth of the sport in the region.

Nations with at least two players on the PDC Order of Merit will see their pairings confirmed on following Players Championship 16 on Tuesday May 13.

Nations with less than two players on the PDC Order of Merit will see their representatives confirmed following local qualifiers to find one or both competitors.

The popular all-Doubles matches format at the World Cup of Darts will return in 2025, with group and knockout stages played across four days of action.

The top four ranked nations, based on the lowest cumulative PDC Order of Merit ranking of the two competing players, will be seeded and will enter at the second round stage. The remaining 36 teams will be split into 12 groups of three for the round-robin first round – including 12 seeded nations – from which each group winner will progress.

The second round, featuring the last 16 nations, will be split across two sessions on Saturday June 14 before the quarter-finals take place on Sunday afternoon, with the tournament culminating in the semi-finals and final on Sunday evening – the eventual champions will earn a combined £80,000 in prize money.

The tournament will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK, through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV (excluding subscribers based in the UK, Germany, Austria & Switzerland).
