Fallon Sherrock is focusing her attention back on playing darts after a whirlwind few days following her landmark win at the William Hill World Championship.
The 25-year-old former hairdresser from Milton Keynes became an overnight sensation after Tuesday's victory over Ted Evetts made her the first woman to taste victory in the most prestigious tournament in darts.
As news of her groundbreaking triumph spread across the globe, Sherrock found herself in the media spotlight as she conducted a series of high-profile interviews on television, radio and with some of the biggest newspapers internationally.
But the sport's newest star is now determined to concentrate on Saturday's second round meeting with Mensur Suljovic by remaining down to earth despite feeling on top of the world.
"It's been a crazy few days but it's time to get back to business now," said Sherrock, who has been rewarded with a place in the 2020 US Darts Masters in New York.
"I've loved every minute of it but I can't wait to get back on the stage where I feel comfortable.
"I think what has happened with all the hype about my win and me making history will help me because I felt more nervous doing those big interviews than I ever do playing darts.
"I'm just a normal woman who loves playing darts and I won't let myself get carried away.
"I am still buzzing about how things have gone so far but I have got another game to try to win."
