Seigo Asada wants to showcase the strength of Asian darts when he takes on Peter Wright at the William Hill World Championship on Monday.
2019 World Cup semi-finalist Asada reached the last 32 at Alexandra Palace for the first time thanks to wins over Mickey Mansell and Keegan Brown.
The Japanese number one is growing in confidence ahead of his clash with former World Championship finalist Wright, who survived a scare in round two against Filipino star Noel Malicdem.
"I want to show the Asian power that I have in me," said Asada, who has won four titles on the PDC Asian Tour since its inception in 2018.
"We have a strong tour now and the World Championship is the best place for us to show the strength in Asian darts.
"I will do my best to keep the pressure up and show the world that Asian players can still do better and that there is much more to come from us.
"There is more to come from me in this tournament. Peter Wright is a top player but he is human so he is beatable and I will try my hardest to win."
Like Wright in his epic battle with Malicdem, Asada had to do things the hard way in the second round as he came back to beat Brown after losing the first seven legs.
"It was a tough game," he added.
"I kept fighting and was really happy to win it and I want to go even further.
"Whatever happens here I intend to go to Qualifying School in January so I can play on the ProTour and show what we Asian players are capable of."
