Three-time winner Michael van Gerwen is the 5/2 pre-tournament favourite going into the William Hill World Darts Championship.
The Dutch star has been in the unfamiliar position of seeing rival Gerwyn Price as the pre-tournament favourite for the Grand Slam of Darts recently, while the pair were joint favourites going into the Players Championship Finals.
However, Van Gerwen's win in the Players Championship Finals has seen the world number one installed as 5/2 favourite with sponsors William Hill ahead of the 2020/21 World Championship, which begins on December 15.
Price, a semi-finalist last year, is rated at 5/1 to win his first World Championship title, while reigning champion Peter Wright is 6/1 as he bids to retain the Sid Waddell Trophy.
Grand Slam of Darts champion Jose de Sousa is 16/1 with William Hill to claim another big-stage title, while 2019 World Championship finalist Michael Smith is also 16/1 to go one better this time around.
World Matchplay champion Dimitri Van den Bergh and two-time Ally Pally semi-finalist Nathan Aspinall are 20/1 chances, with Premier League winner Glen Durrant and shooting star Devon Petersen rated at 28/1.
Two-time World Champion Gary Anderson is joined by James Wade at 33/1, while 2018 winner Rob Cross is 50/1 and double World Champion Adrian Lewis is a 125/1 chance to claim a third Ally Pally title - a decade on from his first.
Tickets for the William Hill World Darts Championship are now on General Sale from SeeTickets, with up to 1,000 fans able to attend per session under specific regulations.
Global coverage will be headlined by coverage on the dedicated Sky Sports Darts channel, while the PDC's international broadcast partners will include RTL7 in the Netherlands, DAZN in various territories, Fox Sports in Australia, Sky Sport in New Zealand, PDCTV for Rest of the World Subscribers and at matchroom.live.
