The 2020/21 William Hill World Darts Championship will again see talkSPORT 2 broadcasting exclusive commentary from Alexandra Palace throughout darts' biggest event.

talkSPORT have broadcast commentary of the World Championship for the past three years, with their popular coverage being nominated in the SJA British Sports Journalism awards in 2018.

This year will see talkSPORT 2 return to Alexandra Palace, with former World Championship competitors Paul Nicholson and Chris Mason joining their commentary team of Nigel Pearson, Ian Danter, Mark Wilson and Rob Mullarkey in the exclusive coverage.

Head of talkSPORT Lee Clayton said: "talkSPORT is delighted to be the UK radio home of the darts for a fourth year running. We can't wait for another thrilling World Championship to start.

"For those who can't make it, we have a myriad of ways for darts fans to join the action, totally for free. Download the app, listen via DAB or at talkSPORT.com, or ask your smart speaker to play talkSPORT 2.

"There's a stellar line-up of players who'll guarantee fireworks when the event starts next week and our experienced commentary line-up will bring darts to life on the airwaves."

PDC chief executive Matt Porter said: "talkSPORT brilliantly captures the drama of the darts at Ally Pally - we're delighted the UK's favourite sport station is joining us again.

"talkSPORT remains the natural home for darts fans in the UK - especially with reduced capacity at Ally Pally this year.

"It's great we're able to welcome fans back to the venue, but talkSPORT's coverage will be a great replacement if you can't join us."

There will be extensive coverage on talkSPORT 2 throughout the tournament, plus regular updates and the live final broadcast on talkSPORT on January 3.

You can listen to talkSPORT 2 on DAB radio, online at talkSPORT.com, via the talkSPORT app, or tell your smart speaker to ‘play talkSPORT 2’.
