Peter Wright is provisionally in line to become world number one after the 2020/21 William Hill World Darts Championship.
Wright recently broke the £1 million mark on the PDC Order of Merit, and should the reigning World Champion better the performances of Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price at the World Championship he will take the number one spot.
Van Gerwen has held the coveted position since January 2014, when he succeeded Phil Taylor as both World Champion and world number one.
The provisional post-World Championship Order of Merit listed below is calculated by removing prize money won at the World Championship two years ago and adding on the minimum prize money to be won at this year's event.
The top 64 players on the PDC Order of Merit following the World Championship will keep their Tour Cards for 2021.
Only the 128 Tour Card Holders and the 20 Associate Members or previously unranked Qualifiers playing in the World Championship are listed below.
Players highlighted in green will enter the second year of their Tour Cards in January 2021.
Players highlighted in yellow may finish outside the top 64 depending on their World Championship performance.
Players highlighted in red are set to finish outside the top 64 and lose their Tour Cards.
The 2020/21 William Hill World Darts Championship will be played at Alexandra Palace, London from December 15-January 3.
