It's all about Gerwyn Price in the betting for the BoyleSports World Grand Prix darts championship as the world number one begins the defence of his title in Leicester this weekend.
The Welshman warmed up for the double-start event with an 8-0 whitewash of Mensur Suljovic in the final of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy and BoyleSports have clipped Price in to 4/1 favourite from 9/2 to defend the World Grand Prix title ahead of his first round clash with Michael Smith on opening night this Sunday.
Price is also rated one of the most likely candidates in the field to finish the tournament with most full houses, which requires a player to win their match as well as hitting most 180s and the highest checkout in the process. He is a 4/1 shot to achieve that feat the most times during the event alongside Peter Wright.
Wright was put up against fellow World Champion Rob Cross in the first round and has since been eased to 11/2 from 9/2 to go all the way, making him joint second favourite with Michael van Gerwen, who will be chasing a sixth BoyleSports World Grand Prix title.
