My Diesel Claim have been announced as an official partner of the 2023 Betfred World Matchplay.
The deal extends the company’s association with the PDC, which also included title sponsorship of last month’s World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt.
The partnership will see the My Diesel Claim logo as an event partner on the shirts of all players, and on-stage branding and activation across the event.
My Diesel Claim is litigating against a number of car manufacturers who are accused of committing diesel emissions fraud after allegedly fitting defeat devices in their vehicles to cheat emissions tests and laws.
With My Diesel Claim, every driver of a diesel vehicle in the UK, which was first registered between 2009 and 2020, could be eligible for up to £10,000 in compensation.
“We are delighted to welcome My Diesel Claim back to one of our events as an official partner for the 2023 Betfred World Matchplay,” said PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter.
“The World Matchplay is always one of the highlights of the darting calendar, and this year's tournament is shaping up to be one of the best in the tournament's distinguished history.
“We are looking forward to an action-packed nine days in Blackpool, as 32 of the world's best players compete for the coveted Phil Taylor Trophy.”
This year's Betfred World Matchplay will see a stellar 32-player field competing at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens from July 15-23, in the 30th edition of the tournament.
The sport’s biggest names will battle it out for the £200,000 top prize across nine days of action at the Empress Ballroom, as three-time winner Michael van Gerwen bids to retain his title.
The sport’s showpiece event of the summer will also feature the second staging of the Betfred Women’s World Matchplay, which takes place on the afternoon of Sunday July 23.
