Luke Humphries is now the hot odds-on favourite at 4/9 with BoyleSports to successfully defend his BoyleSports World Grand Prix title ahead of an all-English semi-final clash in Leicester against Ryan Joyce.
Humphries kept his two-in-a-row bid on course with a hard fought 3-1 victory over Jonny Clayton in Friday's quarter-finals, while Joyce overcame underdog status to knock out Rob Cross in a deciding set.
The winner is certain to face a Belgian opponent in the final after compatriots Mike De Decker and Dimitri Van den Bergh accounted for James Wade and Joe Cullen respectively.
De Decker is rated the most likely to deny Humphries another major televised title as the 9/2 second favourite ahead of 11/2 shot Van den Bergh, while Joyce goes into this evening's semi-finals as the rank outsider at 12/1.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: "It's been a largely unpredictable week in Leicester, but punters have remained steadfast that Luke Humphries is very much on the march towards another BoyleSports World Grand Prix crown."
You can get paid out early with BoyleSports if your player goes a set ahead at the World Grand Prix, even if they go on to lose the match. For more information, visit BoyleSports.com.
