Dudeney & Olde Kalter secure Tour Cards on Day Three at Q School

Tavis Dudeney (PDC)

Tavis Dudeney and Dennie Olde Kalter secured PDC Tour Cards for the first time on Saturday, after prevailing on the penultimate day of action at 2025 Qualifying School.

Day Three of Final Stage at UK Qualifying School saw 20-year-old Dudeney break new ground with an impressive 6-4 victory against Adam Paxton.

The Brighton-born star converted a stunning 126 checkout to topple Paxton in a high-quality affair, after he edged out Scotland’s Greg Ritchie in a dramatic semi-final clash.

Dudeney kicked off his campaign with a brace of 6-2 wins against Kevin Lane and Eddie Lovely, before defying a late fightback from Ireland’s Dylan Dowling to prevail in a last-leg shoot-out.

Dudeney – a winner on the Winmau Development Tour last year – also saw off Thomas Lovely in the last 16, while he accounted for Order of Merit leader Bradley Brooks in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere in Milton Keynes, Callum Goffin landed the first PDC nine-darter of 2025 in his first round tie against Daniel Ayres, although the Welshman faces a tough task if he’s to reclaim his Tour Card on Sunday.

Meanwhile, over at European Qualifying School, Olde Kalter defeated Sweden’s World Cup quarter-finalist Oskar Lukasiak 6-4 to clinch his place on the ProTour for the next two years.

The 33-year-old defeated a host of established names on his way to glory in Kalkar, having kicked off proceedings with a 99 average and a 6-2 success over his compatriot Jeffrey de Zwaan.

Olde Kalter then followed up victory over Danny Van Klompenburg with impressive wins over Lithuania’s Darius Labanauskas and Sweden’s Andreas Harrysson to reach the quarter-finals.

There, he swept aside Croatia’s Tomislav Rosandic in resounding style, before edging out Norway’s Cor Dekker in a tightly-contested semi-final to set up his winner-takes-all clash against Lukasiak.

Sunday will offer a final opportunity for players to win Tour Cards, with play commencing at 1300 CET in Kalkar and 1200 GMT in Milton Keynes.

In addition to the daily Tour Card winners, a further 21 Tour Cards will be awarded on a pro-rata basis to players from the respective Final Stage Orders of Merit following Day Four - 12 in Europe, and 9 in the UK.

Brooks and Dekker have secured their Tour Cards via the respective Orders of Merit, but under tournament rules, both players must compete tomorrow to confirm their professional status.

Former World Youth Champion Brooks reached back-to-back finals on Thursday and Friday, before advancing to the quarter-finals on Saturday to extend his lead at the summit to five points.

Saturday’s runner-up Paxton and Greg Ritchie are level in second position, with Andy Boulton and Cam Crabtree also in provisional Tour Card positions heading into Sunday’s finale.

Dekker – who is set to become the first Norwegian to compete on the ProTour, also boasts a five-point cushion on the European Qualifying School Order of Merit.

Czech star Karel Sedlacek heads into Day Four in second place, with Maik Kuivenhoven, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez and Swedish duo Lukasiak and Harrysson all currently in the top 12.

The Orders of Merit for both UK and European Qualifying Schools are listed below.
