THE two greatest darting nations will go head-to-head next February in a battle to decide world supremacy in the ten-man Masters of Darts.
The tournament will take place from 10 February to 18 February 2007 at the Expocenter in Hengelo, Holland, and sees five top English players facing their Dutch counterparts.
The Dutch team will be led by Raymond van Barneveld, and also includes Roland Scholten, Michael van Gerwen, Vincent van der Voort and Jelle Klaasen.
Phil Taylor will head up the England side, accompanied by Colin Lloyd, Wayne Mardle, Mervyn King and one other player.
The players will compete in a round-robin format from Saturday-Wednesday.
There will be no play on Thursday - due to the Holsten Premier League Darts - or Friday, with the top two players from each country facing off in Saturday's semi-finals.
The last four will see the top Dutch player face the second-placed English player and vice versa, with the winners progressing to Sunday's final to play for a first prize of 50,000 euro.
The total prize fund will be 185,000 euro, and tickets are on sale at www.mastersofdarts.nl.
