Backley & Devilfish Accept Pro-Celebrity Challenge

THREE-TIME Olympic medallist Steve Backley and poker star Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott are the final celebrities to be confirmed for the PartyPoker.com Pro-Celebrity Darts on Friday November 14.

Backley is the only British track and field athlete to pick up medals in three separate Olympic Games, after claiming a Bronze in Barcelona in 1992 and Silver in Atlanta and Sydney in 1996 and 2000.

Awarded both the MBE and OBE during his stellar javelin-throwing career, Blackley retired from competition in 2004 and recently took part in Dancing on Ice.

The 39-year-old will swap the javelin for a smaller arrow when he joins seven other celebrities in teaming up with darts stars for a Pro-Celebrity Challenge ahead of the start of the PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts.

Ulliott, 54, is one of the world's best-known poker players, having won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 1997 and more than $5 million during his career.

The duo join Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell, England rugby star Mike Tindall, Phil Tufnell, Barry McGuigan, Steve Davis and Neil Ruddock in taking part in the Pro-Celebrity Challenge.

The eight darts stars involved are Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, John Part, James Wade, Mark Webster, Wayne Mardle, Peter Manley and Anastasia Dobromyslova, the Women's World Champion.

The draw for the PartyPoker.com Pro-Celebrity Darts will be made on Sunday live on ITV4 between the semi-finals and final of the European Championship.
