THE draw for the Blue Square UK Open Welsh Regional Final, which will be played at The Newport Centre on Sunday 23 September, with the quarter-finals onwards streamed through www.bluesquare.com.
The tournament is the first of eight £25,000 Regional Finals in the build-up to the UK Open Televised Finals at Bolton next June.
In a new development, the last eight onwards will be screened live on the internet for registered members of www.bluesquare.com.
The event will begin at 2.30pm, with the new fomat being the best of nine legs down to the last 16, with the quarter-finals the best of 11 legs, semi-finals best of 13 legs and the final the best of 15 legs.
Last year's Welsh Regional Final was won by Phil Taylor, while Raymond van Barneveld will compete in Newport as the defending Blue Square UK Open Champion.
Spectator admission will be £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and free for children under 16, and paid on the day.
