Raymond van Barneveld and Phil Taylor put their rivalry to one side before their clash in the Holsten Premier League Darts in Doncaster to celebrate the Dutchman's 39th birthday.
The duo were warming up ahead of the crucial contest at the Doncaster Dome, where they were each looking to gain pole position ahead of rounds at Reading and Stevenage before the play-offs in Plymouth on 29th May.
Raymond van Barneveld, who is looking to take the title that Taylor won last year, commented: "It was a kind gesture by Holsten to acknowledge my birthday and fitting that Phil presented it to me, as even though we're great rivals at the oche, we're good mates when we're not competing."
Gareth Roberts, Sponsorship Controller at Carlsberg UK, added: "Holsten is proud to be associated with the Premier League Darts tournament, which has so far seen every round played in front of sell out crowds.
"Raymond has been in great form recently and it seemed appropriate for his biggest friend and foe to present his birthday cake on our behalf."
Holsten Pils was the first Premium bottled lager available in the UK in 1952. A leading lager ever since, Holsten Pils' enduring popularity is due to it's unique malty taste. Holsten Pils is the number three bottled lager in the On-Trade.
