Defending champion Phil Taylor will begin his challenge on the opening night against Austrian qualifier Anton Pein.
World number one Colin Lloyd faces off against Tomas Seyler the following day, with Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld making his Purfleet debut on Tuesday evening.
Local favourite Wayne Mardle - a semi-finalist last year - comes into the fray on Wednesday against Alan Caves, with world number three Dennis Priestley and World Matchplay finalist James Wade also in action that evening.
The first round will conclude on Thursday with the final eight games, including former finalists Kevin Painter and Mark Dudbridge meeting Colin Osborne and John Kuczynski respectively, with players from Holland, China, Japan and Canada also competing.
