SUNDAY'S Blue Square UK Open Welsh Regional Final will be a landmark tournament for professional darts, with the advent of live online streaming through www.bluesquare.com.
The quarter-finals onwards of the Regional Final will be streamed at no cost to registered users of the Blue Square website, including expert commentary from Sky Sports' Stuart Pyke.
Joining www.bluesquare.com requires users to register with their credit card - no money is taken from the card, this is only to verify that the user is over 18.
Users will then be able to watch the last eight onwards from 6pm, the first time a PDC event has been shown live on the internet.
"This is an exciting development for us and we're delighted to be working with Blue Square to take the sport into the digital age," said PDC Chief Executive Tim Darby.
"There has been a lot of interest from fans who cannot make it to Newport to watch the tournament, and I'm sure it will prove popular with darts supporters around the world."
