WAYNE MARDLE is looking to continue his superb run of form in the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts against James Wade on Thursday.
Mardle currently holds the longest winning streak in the 2008 Premier League, having won his last four matches.
That run has taken him up to fourth in the table, and he plays current leader James Wade at the Liverpool Echo Arena this week.
"I'm very pleased," he said. "I've played well without playing brilliantly and if you get four wins in a row in the Premier League by doing that then you're not doing a lot wrong.
"I'm playing nowhere near the best darts of my life, but I'm winning games and you can't ask for any more than that.
"I am attacking games and enjoying it."
Mardle produced a gutsy display to see off resilient John Part last week - with the World Champion coming from 4-1 to level before the Englishman finished strongly to take the win.
"It was a really good game and I enjoy playing John," said Mardle. "If I hit doubles under pressure then I win and I reckon this time a year or two ago I'd have folded when he came back at me.
"But now I believe I can break anyone at any time and a lot of that is down to the doubles I'm hitting under pressure.
"As most of the world knows, it's not been my strongest point but I'm hitting them now and I hope it continues!"
Mardle has also revealed that he had added motivation in Aberdeen last week, after wife Donna missed the trip to Scotland and instead cheered on 'Hawaii 501' watching on Sky Sports at their Romford home.
"One of the major factors against John was that I didn't have Donna with me," he added.
"That was a massive negative for me - I've never played a Premier League game or a major televised event without her being there.
"I was wandering around like a lost sheep - but I channelled that aggression, that loneliness, and took it out on John."
