WAYNE MARDLE is looking to challenge for the biggest win of his career at the PartyBets.com Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.
The flamboyant star has been drawn in one of the toughest groups for the new, £300,000 tournament at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall from 17-25 November.
He will take on Phil Taylor, Colin Lloyd and one of the two final qualifiers - likely to be Ronnie Baxter - in the round-robin first stage of the event, but is on a high after picking up his second tournament win of 2007 recently in Germany.
Mardle clashes with 13-time World Champion Taylor on the event's opening afternoon on Saturday 17 November, and is hoping to get off to a good start in the round robin group stage.
"I can't wait - Phil's in trouble!" said Mardle.
"Seriously though, they are all going to be tough games but I've been playing well.
"I do care who I'm playing but I see it that I've been drawn against them so I have to get on with it and try to do what I can do.
"I showed in Germany what I can do when I'm playing well. Hopefully I can maintain that and perform well in Wolverhampton."

Mardle and Taylor will also meet again at the Circus Tavern - the venue of their classic 2006 World Championship Semi-Final - in a special "Super Stars of Darts" evening on Friday 14 December.
They will face off over the best of 15 legs, while the night also sees darts legends Keith Deller and Cliff Lazarenko meet over the best of 11 legs, and Eric Bristow face Bobby George.
The event is being run in association with the Variety Club of Great Britain, with tickets costing £17.50 plus booking fee and available from the Circus Tavern on 01708 864001 or 01708 867271.
