THE PDC remain on course to create a new record crowd for the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts at The O2 in London next month after opening the venue's upper tier.
The famous Greenwich arena, situated inside the former Millennium Dome, can cater for up to 10,000 fans for the opening night of the new Premier League Darts season on Thursday February 11.
With table seats on the arena floor sold out and limited seating remaining on the lower tier, the upper tier of seating has now been opened.
The PDC have previously welcomed 8,000 fans to the Echo Arena in Liverpool for Premier League Darts, with that record now set to be eclipsed at The O2.
The Premier League Darts clashes on February 11 will feature the rematch of the recent Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship final between Phil Taylor and Simon Whitlock.
Terry Jenkins' clash with Ronnie Baxter will kick off the season, while Mervyn King meets Adrian Lewis and reigning Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts champion James Wade faces world number two Raymond van Barneveld.
"Ever since the end of the Ladbrokes.com World Championship there has been a buzz about the start of the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
"The World Championship was a massive success over Christmas and New Year in London and, with tickets all but sold out for this weekend's totesport.com Players Championship and further tickets now released for The O2, the demand for tickets to see the world's best players is probably higher than ever.
"It promises to be a memorable night for players and fans at The O2, which is a tremendous setting to kick off this year's Premier League Darts season."
Tickets for the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts at The O2 cost £20 plus a booking fee and are available on 0844 856 0202, or via www.theo2.co.uk.
Only single seats remain for the visit to the CIA in Cardiff on April 1, while the SECC in Glasgow is expected to be a sell-out, with the last few tickets now remaining on sale.
Tickets for the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts are still available, priced at £30 and £20, plus any applicable booking fees. For further information, visit the Tickets section of www.pdc.tv or see below.
