THE PartyPoker.com Pro-Celebrity Challenge will be played in Wolverhampton on Friday November 14 ahead of the PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts.
The Grand Slam of Darts sees 32 stars from rival organisations PDC and BDO clash over nine days at the Wolves Civic.
It has now been confirmed that a Pro-Celebrity knockout will be held on Friday November 14 as a curtain-raiser for the tournament.
Eight darts stars will team up with celebrities for the event, including former England cricketer Phil Tufnell, Coronation Street's Michael Le Vell, six-time World Snooker champion Steve Davis, England rugby star Mike Tindall and boxing champ Barry McGuigan.
The field of darts players will include 13-time World Champion Phil "The Power" Taylor, respective World Champions John Part and Mark Webster and the Ladies World Champion, Russia's Anastasia Dobromyslova.
Holland's five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld, crowd favourites Wayne "Hawaii 501" Mardle and Peter "One Dart" Manley and the sport's new superstar James Wade.
"This is an exciting new concept," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn. "The Grand Slam of Darts will be a great week and this event will be a spectacular curtain-raiser to that.
"These celebrities are all taking the event very seriously. They've been putting in hours of practice and are all talking about how keen they are to get on stage with the best players in darts."
The PartyPoker.com Pro-Celebrity Challenge will offer £60,000 in prize money, with the final three celebrities to be announced shortly.
The tournament will be shown live on ITV4 from 7pm on Friday November 14, and tickets are now on sale from the Wolves Civic Box Office.
