On Week Ten
Last week in Exeter, John Part had to play twice and got off to a flier by beating Mervyn King but he had two darts at double 16 to secure four points on the night - he didn't close it out and that lost point could be crucial.
Terry Jenkins got another Premier League draw against Phil Taylor but he is in danger of missing out on the top four, while James Wade put in an electric performance against Raymond van Barneveld.
Part is in fourth spot but has played one more game than Barney and Jenkins who are both on the edge of the play-off spots so they really need to win this week.
This Week's Matches
Wayne Mardle v Jelle Klaasen
Wayne has to play twice this week and I think he will struggle to pick up points in Nottingham - he's coming back from illness and I don't think he's going to be strong enough and I don't think he'll be on the ball.
Jelle has been playing pretty well recently and I think he'll get his second win against Mardle.
Match Odds
Wayne Mardle 19/10, Jelle Klaasen 5/6, Draw 4/1
Mervyn King v Raymond van Barneveld
A crunch game for Barney - he has got to beat Mervyn King this week, if he doesn't and Terry Jenkins wins then he could miss out on a top four spot.
King probably needs one more point to secure third spot, but I see this as a win for Barney - he's been playing well and Mervyn hasn't been scoring as well of late, although Raymond will have to be wary as Merv is still dangerous when he gets a chance.
Match Stats
Mervyn King 2/1, Raymond van Barneveld 4/5, Draw 4/1
James Wade v Terry Jenkins
The last game of the night is a real crunch match for Terry Jenkins; if James Wade beats him then I think Jenkins will be cut adrift - especially if Barney wins.
I think James will win this but it depends which Wade turns up - if he's serious, he is a brilliant player, if he's a little bit off colour, Jenks could get a draw.
Match Stats
James Wade 8/11, Terry Jenkins 9/4, Draw 4/1
Phil Taylor v Wayne Mardle
I can't see Wayne getting anything out of Phil, I think after playing Jelle he'll be so drained on that big stage and this will be a big win for Taylor.
The Power had a 121 average in the second tour event last Sunday which is incredible, he really is on fire and I see him beating Mardle up this week.
Match Stats
Phil Taylor 1/12, Wayne Mardle 14/1, Draw 9/1
