THE ITV Wildcard Qualifier for the 2008 PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts will be held on Friday 17 October at the Magnum Centre in Irvine.
Any darts player can enter the qualifier, with the chance to emulate 2007 stars Chris Mason & Kevin McDine in winning a place in Wolverhampton - with McDine going on to reach the semi-finals of the inaugural Grand Slam of Darts.
The 2008 ITV Wildcard Qualifier will be staged at the Magnum Centre on Friday 17 October, starting at 7pm.
Costing £25 to enter, the event is open to ANY darts player, and will be the best of nine legs throughout.
"The ITV Wildcard Qualifier was a massive success last year when we had over 200 players enter," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
"Few people had heard of Kevin McDine before he played in Wolverhampton, but his success there has been a massive boost for his career.
"His success will be an incentive for any ambitious player, and I'm sure that many top professionals who have yet to qualify for the PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts will also be in Irvine."
A third-place play-off will also be held to determine reserve qualifiers should a second, third or fourth player be required.
Entries can now be made via the PDC Online Entry System by clicking here, with entry closing on Thursday October 9 at 12pm (BST).
