THE draw for the Southern Players Championship, to be held at the Brentwood Centre on Saturday 1 March.
The third Players Championship tournament of 2008 will be played in Essex, with £20,000 on offer, including £5,000 for the winner.
Phil Taylor will be playing his first PDC Pro Tour event of the year, while World Champion John Part is also in action in Brentwood.
Part takes on Kevin McDine in his opening game, while another young talent, Michael van Gerwen, has drawn Colin Lloyd - the winner of the Blue Square UK Open South-West Regional Final recently - in his first clash.
Australia's Pat Orreal will compete in his first tournament after moving onto the PDC circuit, following his success at the PartyBets.com Grand Slam of Darts last November and decision to move to the UK recently, joining other new PDPA members Carlos Rodriguez and Andreas Muller in this event.
The tournament will start at 11am, a new start time to become consistent with the UK Open Regional Finals.
Registration for players will be from 9.30am-10.45am, and any player not in attendance by 10.45am will be eliminated from the draw.
Admission for members of the public will be free.
