THE 32-man field for the 2009 stanjames.com World Matchplay has now been confirmed.
The top 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit following the PartyPoker.net Las Vegas Desert Classic qualify by right for this month's Blackpool extravaganza.
They will be joined by the 16 best non-qualified players from the Players Championship Order of Merit in the £400,000 tournament at the Winter Gardens.
With the world's top four players contesting the semi-finals and final of the Desert Classic on Sunday, the positions for World Matchplay qualification cannot now change.
That means that Peter Wright qualifies for a World Matchplay debut after reaching the semis of Tuesday's Las Vegas Players Championship, at the expense of Kevin McDine.
Gary Anderson will be the leading Players Championship qualifier, having won one tournament and reached three other finals since joining the PDC this year.
The draw for the stanjames.com World Matchplay will be made on Sunday July 5.
The PDC top 16 will be drawn against the 16 Players Championship qualifiers for the first round of the World Matchplay, which runs from July 19-26.
Tickets for the stanjames.com World Matchplay can be booked from the Winter Gardens Box Office in person or via Ticketmaster on 0844 856 1111.
