COLIN LLOYD and Mervyn King warmed up for the Sky Poker World Grand Prix by taking part in a charity track motor racing day organised by RAC.
The duo traded their darts for the pedals and steering wheel of various types of motor cars at Rockingham Speedway in Northamptonshire.
They teamed up with a host of other celebrities, including Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, current Miss England Laura Coleman and former Coronation Street actress Lucy Evans, and Team RAC drivers Colin Turkington and Stephen Jelley for a Track Day hosted in aid of the Everyman charity.
The duo competed head-to-head in a variety of motoring tests including high speed single seater racing, rally driving, 4x4, karting, wet grip and even a pit-stop challenge.
"It was a very exciting day and all for a Everyman, which is a wonderful cause," said Lloyd.
"Having experts on hand in Team RAC made it a great experience for everyone taking part.
"Doing the karting was fantastic and the wet track really opened up my eyes - learning to control the car in those conditions was very hard!"
The day raised £15,000 for Everyman, the UK's leading male cancer campaign which funds research into prostate and testicular cancer, with all money raised going to the Everyman Centre - Europe's first and only dedicated male cancer research facility.
Colin Lloyd and Mervyn King will be taking part in the Sky Poker World Grand Prix from Monday October 6-Sunday October 12 at the Citywest Hotel, Dublin. For tickets, call 00 353 (0) 1401 0500.
