PHIL TAYLOR admits he will "think about my career" in the aftermath of his SkyBet World Grand Prix exit to Adrian Gray.
Taylor, the seven-time World Grand Prix champion, suffered only his third defeat in the ten-year history of the event with the shock 2-0 loss to the qualifier.
It extended his run without a trophy in Sky Sports-televised ranking events to a year since he picked up the Dublin title 12 months ago, and he admitted he will take a long look at his future following his latest loss.

"I've got to go away, recuperate, think about what I'm doing and review my career," said Taylor.
"[Sky Sports presenter] Jeff Stelling once said to me that the day would come where I'd start getting beaten regularly and it's happening now.
"I've got to be dedicated or retire - and I'm going to be mega dedicated.
"I've got to sit back and think about my career and put things right.
"I'm so annoyed that I got beaten and it's a different Phil Taylor now. Of all the tournaments I could have lost in, this hurt me."
Taylor was 1/8 with sponsors SkyBet ahead of the game, but the 26-year-old produced a fine display to grab the biggest win of his career - including back-to-back 180s in his winning leg.
"I thought Adrian played absolutely superbly," added Taylor. "He didn't seem nervous and was brilliant.
"The last leg he did was superb - one of the best last legs ever and probably the best nine darts I've seen in my career.
"I'm pleased for him and it's good for the game."
