PHIL TAYLOR won the 2009 Gleneagle Irish Masters, defeating Wayne Jones 6-1 in the final.
Taylor followed up his wins in the Irish Players Championship and Skybet World Grand Prix with a third successive tournament victory on the Emerald Isle inside a fortnight.
He swept through the field in Saturday's non-ranked event, held at Ireland's National Event Centre ahead of Sunday's John McEvoy Gold Dart Classic Players Championship, defeating Wayne Jones 6-1 in the final.
His victories on the day included whitewashes of Mark Webster and Michael van Gerwen and defeats of Vincent van der Voort and Colin Osborne in the latter stages.
Jones won through to the final with a 5-2 semi-final defeat of Northern Ireland's Brendan Dolan, having been a deciding-leg winner against Dyson Parody, Mark Walsh and Colin Lloyd earlier on.
Aodhagan O'Neill, who has qualified for the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship as the Irish Matchplay winner, reached the quarter-finals, alongside Connie Finnan.
Sunday's John McEvoy Gold Dart Classic Players Championship will begin at 12pm. The draw and results updates will be available at www.pdc.tv throughout the event.
